Well here we go on the beginning of my blogging adventure. I pray that this would be a fruitful venture. I would just like to thank you for stopping by and reading my stuff. The basic premise for this blog is to help me keep my Warrior's Edge, hence the name of the blog. The bottom line is that as a Christian I am a Warrior in God's Army. I came into His service by his choosing and I need to stay at the top of my game and it is my prayer that I can do that by sharing things with you all that God has put on my heart. And through the training He puts me through daily via His Word or through various things in my life, my hope is that you would be encouraged too. And with that I would like to share with you what He has shown me today. As I was driving home from work today
I was listening to my "new"Skillet CD. I finally broke down and bought the "Awake" album. And when "Awake and Alive" came on I was trying to focus on the words and the Lord spoke to me from this verse:
I’m at war with the world cause I
Ain’t never gonna sell my soul
I’ve already made up my mind
No matter what I can’t be bought or sold
When my faith is getting weak
And I feel like giving in
You breathe into me again
It just reminded me again of this fight we are constantly fighting as Christians against our enemy the Devil, who is constantly looking for someone to devour (1 Peter5:8). And if we do not take the time to allow the Lord to fill us and breath new life into us, we will just falter and sputter out. So rise up my fellow warriors, allow the Lord to fill you to over flowing today and continue to fight the good fight of Faith.
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:2 (NASB)

- Every fighter, whether a boxer, MMA Fighter, first century gladiator and even Jedi Knights ( a plug to my geekiness) has to train hard in order to keep their warriors edge. This is just as true for the Christian Warrior. Yet we have a tendency to fall behind in our training. We tend to do well for a bit then we fall back into our old fleshly ways or we run to a cave as Elijah did after we have a great victory out of fear of reprisal. We are not called to live in such a way, Paul in 1 Cor. 9:27 tell us that he disciplines his body as not to disqualify himself from the ministry God has given him. This blog is to help me and prayerfully you, in our journey to keep ourselves disciplined in the ways of the Lord, to help keep our Warrior's Edge. "but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified." 1 Corinth 9:27
That's a good word, Joshua. We're always in a battle weather we realize it or not. Let's prepare that way every day. Lace 'em up, soldier.

Gotta be in His Word, in prayer, and prepared for the whole day. Ephesians chapter 6. Armor up! I prayed Romans 12:2 a lot today... Do not be conformed... We have the mind of Christ! May we live like it, and talk like it, and act like it, and against the principalities and powers, the evil spirits that rule this current world, may we fight like it!
